Wrist and Hand

We frequently injure our hands and wrists because we
use them for so many things, such as stopping us from
falling! Occupational use can also cause injury, often
because of repeated motions over time.

The wrists, hands and fingers are composed
of many small bones which are held together by ligaments
and surrounded by other soft tissues. Soft tissue injuries
to the wrist and hand usually heal with rest. Ligaments
can be damaged to the point that healing is incomplete
and chronic pain can result. Fortunately this responds
well to treatment.
