Neck


All too many of us suffer with neck pain. This can come from a number of causes. One is muscle tension from stress, and it is no coincidence that we refer to an unwelcome occurrence as a "pain in the neck". Other neck pain problems we commonly see include arthritis, injury from auto accidents or sports, and recurring fatigue from repetitive tasks.

Most soft tissue injury to the neck heals over time with appropriately prescribed exercises and rest. Ligaments can be damaged to the point that healing is inadequate, however, and hronic pain can result. Fortunately these ligainents respond well to treatment with Prolotherapy. Occasionally a disc in the neck is injured, or other bony problems can occur which pinches nerves. This may require surgical correction.
