Elbow
Elbows are often injured by heavy lifting. They can also be hurt by activities which cause us to rotate our wrists a lot. Sports injuries can damage the soft tissues of the elbow joint or its supporting ligaments. Golfer's elbow, for example, results from strain placed on the ligament at the inside of the elbow. Tennis elbow is from strain on the ligament at outside of the elbow.

Soft tissue injuries to the elbow usually heal with rest. Ligaments can be damaged to the point that healing is incomplete, however, and chronic pain can result. Fortunately this responds well to treatment.
